Motivation
I first learned about Create Lithuania in the summer of 2021, while participating in the Bring Together Lithuania program. During an informational meeting with the Create Lithuania team, I realized that this program was full of experienced and dedicated professionals with the goal of making the Lithuanian public sector better. It seemed both challenging and extremely rewarding. Having recently graduated from college, I did not have the experience necessary to join the program and contribute effectively. A few years later, after I had gained the necessary experience, I applied, and I am incredibly glad to be a part of this year’s cohort.
I am fascinated by Lithuania. Having grown up in the United States with Lithuanian heritage, I always knew I wanted to work with the country in some capacity, but I never knew what I wanted to do. My internship with Invest Lithuania, through the Bring Together Lithuania program, really showed me what Lithuania has to offer. I learned that the country has a lot to offer. When I am in Lithuania, I feel like I am on the ground floor of something that is going to be big. Lithuania clearly has a bright future, and I am excited to play a role in it.
