Motivation
The path of my academic career allowed me to gain experience in different countries, in the best universities in the world, in interesting public institutions and non–governmental organizations. For a long time, I cherished the dream of finding ways to use this experience to improve the Lithuanian public sector, to expand my country’s international influence.
I am very motivated by both scientific research and practical assistance to victims of violence – in the cases of genocide, mass repressions, war crimes, crimes against humanity, gender–based violence. My academic research brought understanding of, how important it is for victims to receive support and justice.
As the war in Ukraine broke out, I was looking for ways in which my country Lithuania and I, personally, could assist the victims of violence on the difficult path to justice. The program “Create Lithuania” and direct work with Lithuanian institutions and decision–makers is my path towards the realization of this goal.
