Applications open for the 15th cohort of the Create Lithuania programme

Applications open for the 15th cohort of the Create Lithuania programme

The recruitment for new participants of the Create Lithuania programme has begun. Selected ambitious professionals will spend one year working in the public sector, implementing projects that contribute to strengthening Lithuania’s economy.

Future participants will join a community of more than 300 professionals whose knowledge and skills have contributed to initiatives such as GovTech Lab Lithuania, the “debt respite” scheme, the Small Business Account, the ArtTech Hub competence centre, the “Bullying Box” platform, and more.

Minister of Economy and Innovation Edvinas Grikšas notes that the programme and its participants help create the conditions for Lithuania to remain an innovative and resilient country.

“Create Lithuania projects contribute to economic transformation by helping the public sector respond more quickly to challenges through the use of talented professionals and advanced methods. The programme complements broader national efforts to strengthen competitiveness and move towards a higher value-added economy,” he says.

Programme Head Monika Merkytė highlights that one of the key focus areas in the upcoming cycle will be regional disparities.

“The gap between the capital and the regions is not shrinking, so we plan to devote even more attention to addressing this challenge. We aim to work on region-related issues both at the national level and by piloting specific solutions within municipalities,” she emphasises.

Other priority areas will continue to include advancing technological progress, identifying new breakthrough sectors, developing the green economy, and strengthening other high value-added industries.

The Create Lithuania programme lasts one year, during which participants implement two projects. Applications are open until May 5, and candidates are invited to apply by completing the application form.
